• Sectional Breakdown : 66 Questions across three sections: VARC (24 Questions), DILR (20 Questions), and Quantitative Ability (22 Questions).
• Sectional Time Limit : Exactly 40 Minutes per section (53 minutes and 20 seconds for PwD candidates). Candidates cannot switch between sections.
• Marking Scheme : +3 Marks for correct answer; -1 Mark (Negative Marking) for wrong MCQs. No negative marking for Non-MCQ / TITA (Type in the Answer) questions.
- Printed Admit Card : Carry a clear, legible printout of the CAT 2026 Admit Card on an A4-size paper (color printout recommended). The candidate’s photograph, signature, barcode, and test centre address must be sharp.
- Photograph Affixation : Affix a recent passport-size photograph (identical to the one uploaded during registration) in the space designated on the admit card.
- Original Government Photo ID : Carry an original, valid, non-expired photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card, or Driving License). Scanned copies, mobile digital IDs, or photocopies will not be accepted.
- Dress Code & Prohibited Items : Candidates are advised to wear simple attire without large buttons, pockets, or metallic elements. Shoes with thick soles and closed footwear may require separate frisking. Mobile phones, smartwatches, digital calculators, bags, and jewelry are strictly prohibited.

- Click on the “Registered Candidate Login” link available on the homepage.
- Enter your registered User ID and Password along with the displayed Captcha code.
- Click on the “Login” button to open your applicant dashboard.
- Navigate to the “Admit Card” tab from the top menu bar.
- Select your assessment session and click on the “Download Admit Card” button.
- Check your allotted shift, test centre address, reporting time, and Google Maps location link provided on the PDF.
- Save the PDF file and print 2 copies to bring along on the examination day.
