CBSE Board Exams 2027 : Passing Criteria & Marks Distribution
  • Class 10 Passing Marks: Students must score a minimum of 33% overall marks in each subject (combination of Theory Exam + Internal Assessment/Practicals).
  • Class 12 Passing Marks: Students must score at least 33% marks separately in Theory and 33% marks separately in Practical / Project work, in addition to 33% in aggregate to qualify.
  • Internal Assessment / Practicals: Carries 20 marks for subjects without lab work and 30 marks for lab-oriented subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, etc.).
  • Question Paper Reading Time: An additional 15 minutes (10:15 AM to 10:30 AM) is given to candidates before writing starts to read questions thoroughly.
